ER (Emergency Room)

The Emergency Department provides care for patients of all ages from pediatric, to adult, to geriatric, and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our physicians and medical staff are always prepared to meet the needs of emergency services.

Cardiopulmonary Services

The Cardiopulmonary Department at Montclair Hospital Medical Center provides quality care for the community through the following:

  • An experienced team: Our physicians are specially trained and certified in lung disease and sleep medicine, equating to decades worth of experience. They work closesly with a dedicated respiratory therapist to treat common and complex disorders.

Montclair Hospital Medical Center's Respiratory Therapists are licensed healthcare professionals who graduated from a fully accredited school with either an associate's or a bachelor's degree. They perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including:

  • obtaining and analyzing sputum samples and arterial blood gas samples
  • performing pulmonary function tests
  • operating and maintaining various types of advanced technology equipment to administer oxygen to better assist patients with their breathing
  • employing mechanical ventilation for patients who cannot breathe well on their own
  • monitoring and managing therapy to help a patient improve their lung functionality
  • administering medication in aerosol (spray) form to help alleviate breathing complications and prevent respiratory infections
  • maintaining a patient's artificial airway, which may be in place to help when a patient cannot breathe on their own
  • educating the patient and their families about respiratory illnesses or diseases, including the process and treatments the physician prescribes to treat it

Surgical Services

Montclair Hospital Medical Center specializes in some of the latest inpatient and outpatient surgical techniques including general surgery, such as laparoscopic procedures, urology, orthopedic, and endoscopy services.

Imaging Services

The Imaging Center at Montclair Hospital Medical Center offers a full spectrum of services including the following:

  • Diagnostic Radiology/Fluoroscopy
  • CT Scans
  • Ultrasound
  • Echo/Vascular
  • Nuclear Medicine

Montclair Hospital Medical Center is proud to offer procedures 24/7 to both inpatient and outpatient patients, using the newest technology including a 64 slice CT, GE US machines, a new addition of the Diagnostic Radiology/ Fluoroscopy Siemends Room, and a GE Radiology Room. Clinical Laboratory

Our hospital Clinical Laboratory offers testing in the specialties of Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Blood Bank, Serology, and Immunology. In addition, Montclair Hospital Medical Center's Lab offers Rapid HIV and COVID-19 Antigen, as well as Point-of-Care testing.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is staffed by registered nurses that offer advanced monitoring and resuscitation equipment for critical care patients needing a higher level of care.

Telemetry and Med/Surg Service

The Medical Surgical unit provides care for pediatric, adult and geriatric medical/surgical patients who are acutely ill or injured and in varying stages of recuperation from diagnostic, therapeutic or surgical interventions.

The Medical Telemetry Unit provides care for adult, geriatric and occasional pediatric medical/surgical patients who are acutely ill or injured and in varying stages of recuperation from diagnostic and therapeutic interventions who require cardiac monitoring.

Rehabilitation Services

Our team consists of highly trained experts who provide Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy services to patients experiencing a broad range of medical problems. Patients receive high quality one-to-one care from experienced professionals to meet the needs of our diverse patient population. Physical Therapy programs are designed to improve balance, coordination, motion, strength and mobility. For patients who have difficulty swallowing or communicating, such as after a stroke, our Speech/Language Pathologist may help improve speech, writing skills, cognition (thinking skills) and swallowing.


The Pharmacy department provides the Hospital with competent staff with safe, cost effective, comprehensive, progressive pharmaceutical services of the highest quality in order to maximize care for patients of all ages. The pharmacy department also ensure the all laws and regulations are complied.
